Embraer secures $3.6 billion SkyWest order for 60 E175 jets at Paris Air Show
Jun 18, 2025 .
- AdminBrazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced today at the Paris Air Show a firm order from SkyWest (NASDAQ:SKYW) Airlines for 60 E175 jets, valued at US$3.6 billion at list price. The deal also includes purchase rights for an additional 50 aircraft of the same model.
Deliveries of the new aircraft are scheduled to begin in 2027, with the firm orders to be included in Embraer’s second-quarter 2025 backlog. This represents the largest order for Embraer since American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) placed its order last year.
SkyWest Airlines, which operates regional flights on behalf of major carriers, will deploy 16 of the 60 E175 jets for Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) operations. These aircraft will replace 11 CRJ900 and 5 CRJ700 aircraft currently in service for Delta.
Citi research noted: "We view the order positively for Embraer as it is the largest order since the American Airlines order last year for the company."
The agreement strengthens Embraer’s position in the regional jet market, with the E175 continuing to be a popular choice for regional airline operations in North America. The remaining 44 aircraft from the firm order will presumably serve other major airline partners in SkyWest’s network.
