Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.37%

Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Technology, Biomed and Communication sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.37%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which rose 0.27% or 160.00 points to trade at 59,760.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) fell 0.95% or 12.00 points to end at 1,255.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was down 1.05% or 82.00 points to 7,718.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which rose 1.85% or 17.50 points to trade at 962.70 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 1.31% or 30.00 points to end at 2,260.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was down 3.08% or 420.00 points to 13,220.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 289 to 188 and 61 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.80% or 0.56 to $69.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.79% or 0.58 to hit $72.76 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 35.90 to trade at $3,126.80 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.48% to 3.69, while EUR/ILS rose 0.68% to 3.99.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 103.71.
