Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.75%

Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.75%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE), which rose 4.16% or 143.00 points to trade at 3,584.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TASE:HARL) added 3.79% or 256.00 points to end at 7,014.00 and NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) was up 3.52% or 1,800.00 points to 53,000.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which fell 3.16% or 2,590.00 points to trade at 79,280.00 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 1.71% or 103.00 points to end at 5,937.00 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was down 1.67% or 450.00 points to 26,550.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 324 to 128 and 86 ended unchanged.

Shares in OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.16% or 143.00 to 3,584.00. Shares in Harel (TASE:HARL) rose to all time highs; rising 3.79% or 256.00 to 7,014.00.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.95% or 0.63 to $66.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.00% or 0.70 to hit $70.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 9.80 to trade at $3,001.10 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.45% to 3.65, while EUR/ILS fell 0.21% to 3.97.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 103.36.
